rainbows

There was a sneaky rainbow today! Here are some rushed pictures of it.

E and I were walking and it was nice, but on the way home storm clouds... uhhh... stormed in. In typical Newfoundland style it went from nice to windy and raining in about two minutes. We made it home just in time and spotted this scene from our deck.

take a picture

Sometimes you just have to take a picture, no matter what the subject is.

Golden hour was especially golden yesterday, but I am lazy. So I shot this out our window.

This time looking east(ish) on the same day.

Click on the image if you didn't notice the tiny bird. : )

To show some of the hidden colours in the sky I hit an auto-levels in Photoshop. It's not representative of what my eyes saw, but I think it's kinda cool.

time-lapse

Here's a time-lapse test I shot this weekend. If you squint at it on this page you might see Cabot Tower and, if you watch it at 720p and full-screen and squint, you might even see people running around Signal Hill.

The reason the light levels vary so much is because I tried using the same shutter, aperture, and ISO for every frame.
