delicious.

Doesn't this look good? Particle-board-like paper plate and all. A Newfoundland staple!

So here it is, the official "how to enjoy your chips dressing and gravy" post.

Step 1 - get yer chips.

Fried in the same oil as the fish thank you very much. This particular sample is from the Big R.

Step 2 - add gravy.

Accept only the best real gravy. Important note for US readers: sausage gravy is not real gravy!

Step 3 - add dressing.

Just like Mom used to make.

Step 4 - add more graaavy!

Step 5 - enjoy the sophisticated, gourmet results.

(Do what we say, not what we do: remember to tell them you don't require plastic cutlery...)

knitting.

work in progress.

done. ninja style.

it's probably been over 5 years since i've knitted anything. to be honest, i can only really knit and purl and haven't progressed beyond making scarves and toques. okay, i knitted a handbag once. also, i'm incredibly bad at reading patterns. my friend K used to have to write out simplified versions of the patterns for me so that i could understand them.

stunted knitting skills and being slightly ill equipped at reading patterns aside, it's pretty awesome to get knitting again. some of my crafty lady friends and i have met twice this month to have a go at knitting. the scarf above is the happy result.

Some sort of intro...

hi. welcome to our little experiment. we're not quite sure how this whole thing is going to come together but i guess that's what makes it interesting and fun for us.

we are currently living in St. John's, Newfoundland (not to be confused with Saint John, New Brunswick), but M insists that we get around -- meaning, we like to travel. we also like taking photos, so we'll probably keep posting them, and we are crafty (and just your type).

wow. that was totally awkward.

now that that's out of the way, let's dance!
